cookies

We only set cookies if you click "fine by me" on the cookie notice. They're Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*), which tell us which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. They last up to two years. Say no and Google Analytics never loads.

visit counts (no cookies)

We use Plausible Analytics to count page views, where visitors come from, which buttons get used and what people search for on the site. It sets no cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't store your IP address; it only gives us totals. It runs whether or not you accept cookies, because there's nothing on your device to consent to. Plausible's data policy.

stored on your device (not cookies)

The site remembers a few choices in your own browser so it behaves the way you left it: your wallpaper, whether you prefer the normal version, whether you've hidden the paperclip, that you've seen the boot screen, and your cookie choice. None of it is sent to us. Clear your browser's site data to wipe it.

the contact form

When you send a message we get what you typed: your name, email, website, budget, what you need and your message. It's emailed to our team through our email provider, Resend, and we use it to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. We keep enquiries for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

chat

If you chat with us, your name, your email if you give it, and your messages are sent to our team's Slack workspace, where we reply. We store the chat for 30 days so it carries on as you move around the site, then delete it. The copy in Slack is kept as part of our team's workspace. Ending the chat removes it from your browser. GIFs in a chat load from Giphy or Tenor, which see your IP address like any image download.

photobooth and mood paint

Your camera feed and your drawings stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded. The photobooth downloads a small face-detection model from Google's servers to place the angel halo; like any download, that request includes your IP address.

hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hi@moodco.io. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
